D.Secularism (FOR APEX)WORLD HISTORY
The answer is humanism (apex)
The correct answer is Secularism.
Niccolò Machiavelli was a man of great observation and believed in a more Secular view on Government. He invented the Secular politics liberating it from Religion and Natural laws. He was Anti-Clerical and not Anti-Religious. According to him Church worked as the social force thus he neglects its spirituality, and his idea of secularism denied the theory of God's intervention. This is a passage of his political book called 'the Prince” published in 1532, which sets out rules for the Prince. He speaks that Humans can make their own decisions without the fear of defying God
The passage shows the idea of Humanism where the man was made the center of the universe. The passage refers to Greek classical literature which had focused on the human and human values and had made him the most valuable asset. Everything centered around the benefits and development of the individual.
Which of these Renaissance ideas does this passage support? And you are to understand that a Prince, and most of all a new Prince, cannot observe all those rules of conduct in respect whereof men are accounted good, being often forced, in order to preserve his Princedom, to act in opposition to good faith, charity, humanity, and religion. He must therefore keep his mind ready to shift as the winds and tides of Fortune turn, and, as I have already said, he ought not to quit good courses if he can help it, but should know how to follow evil courses if he must. —Niccolò Machiavelli
